Here is the craft I created for my son's fourth grade Halloween party. I took two pieces of wood and attached both of them with duct tape. Then I painted both sides with black paint. Sanded both sides to give it a rustic look. I cut lined writing paper for the kids to write "Happy Halloween, 2110" I took pictures of the students at an earlier date, then printed them out onto white paper in black and white.
I cut a small square piece of gauze for them to drape the little photo album. This gives it a spooky ghostlike affect. I brought in containers full of old buttons, beads, and lace for the students to personalize their Halloween display!
